Biography

Andrew Morican has worked as musician performing and instructing for the past 37 years. Primarily a violinist, he also includes viola “vello” – the octave lower violin, guitar and ukulele in his skill set.

Andrew has taught string programs in St. James Assiniboia and Winnipeg One schools as well as for Sistema, and currently teaches privately for CSMA out of CMU in Winnipeg Manitoba and for the Rec Centre in Gimli Manitoba.

Andrew is half of Andrew and Andrew who regularly perform classic rock, lesser known rock and extremely familiar pop on electric violin and keyboard.

In addition Andrew is a composer in multiple genres, including, classical strings, choral, solo vocal, all the way through to 1980’s synthpop – most notably for the BCM series.

He is the author of “What Matters” an approach to string instruction that seeks to make the learning process, conscious and as quick as can be when learning the violin and related instruments
